When you get gifted a great name to work with! Miles and Carl approached me to design their visual identity for Red Squirrel Architects and I knew instantly that a strong icon would be right approach - the key was making sure the icon looked professional, skilful and hinted at precision. No cartoon squirrels here!

The Red Squirrel icon used simple geometric shapes to reflect the care, skill and attention to detail behind the practice’s work. A subtle pen-nib nod in the face references the drawing and design process, while the squirrel itself brings personality, imagination and flair. The result is a mark that feels thoughtful and well-crafted, balancing technical expertise with creativity.
