Making Brand Sense
Branding Beyond the Visual
Next Workshop: 22nd June, Whitchurch, Hampshire
Your brand isn’t just something people see… it’s something they feel, hear, smell and even taste (metaphorically… and sometimes literally!).
In a world where people are constantly being marketed to, memorable brands are the ones that create emotion, connection and experience. That’s exactly what this workshop is all about.
This is your invitation to Making Brand Sense - a fun, interactive and creative one-day workshop designed to help you build a brand that feels unforgettable and meaningful. Through hands-on exercises, creative prompts, group discussion and real-world examples, we’ll explore how the senses can shape the way people experience your business.
Whether you’re a coach, creative entrepreneur, shop owner, in the well-being space or small business owner, this workshop will help you uncover what makes you unique and how to communicate that more clearly and consistently to attract the right clients and customers to your business.
You’ll leave inspired, full of ideas and with practical ways to strengthen your brand experience across every touchpoint.
A Branding Workshop with a difference…
‘Well this sounds fun’ I hear you say silently in your head…! ‘Tell me more, what do we cover?’
Think about the Netflix DaDum sound… if your business had a short ‘sonic logo’ what would it be and why?
In this section we explore how to bring sound or the feeling of sound into our messaging and tone of voice.
❋ SoundScent is deeply connected to memory and emotion, which makes it a surprisingly powerful branding tool. This section will encourage you to think differently about atmosphere, feeling and the emotional associations your brand creates.
❋ SmellIf your brand was a sandwich what would it be and why? Simple… surprising flavours… spicy… sweet…? In this fun section we will think about how to bring wording we associate with taste into our messaging.
❋ TasteHow do you want your brand to feel? Both literally and emotionally… From packaging, textures to customer interactions, we’ll look at the small details that help create connection and trust.
❋ TouchWe’ll look at how colour, typography, imagery and style work together to create recognition, personality and emotion. I see this as the icing on the cake - does the icing might you want to take a bite?
❋ SightBrands aren’t static. In this fun shorter section we will explore how energy, flow and movement shape the way people experience your brand online and in the real world.
❋ MovementThat was bloomin’ brilliant! I cannot describe to you what we did, or how Faye did it (that's the magic sauce). What I can tell you is that I came away all fired up with inspiration about my business as well as 8 wonderful new contacts from a whole variety of businesses.

I found the Making Brand Sense workshop a brilliant way to dig deeper into my emerging business idea. It was fun, interesting, and gave me a completely new perspective on how to think about my brand by using the senses — something I hadn’t done before but found incredibly powerful.
The pace was just right, and Faye was a fantastic facilitator, creating a relaxed, thoughtful space to explore ideas. I met some inspiring fellow small business owners too, and it was so valuable to talk things through with others all at different stages in their journeys. I left feeling energised, more connected to what my business is really about, and excited to take the next steps.
